Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

Deuteronomy 6:4-5

From the Summer of 2019 until the Winter of 2020, I was truly blessed to have the opportunity to live and study in the Holy Land. There I attended the final semester of my Bachelor's Degree at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Beersheba. I met such loving people from many backgrounds and ways of life. There are Jews, Palestinians, Bedouins, Drouze, Arab Christians, and many other people groups I had the pleasure of meeting. Between classes, I volunteered in the Negev Bedouin community, a Muslim population living in the deserts of Southern Israel. I taught English to Bedouin youth, assisted in the NGO office, and socialized with locals in the city of Rahat. When I took a break from work, I would explore Beersheba and beyond. I visited many archaeological sites, such as Abraham's Well, Tel Be'er Sheva, Avdat, Massada, Tel Arad, the Western Wall, and the Garden Tomb. I spent Christmas in Nazareth, strolled the shores of the Dead Sea, watched the sun rise on the Red Sea, and watch the sun set from atop the Mount of Olives.

My time in Israel was a spiritual awakening for me, as God touched my heart through the lands where Abraham thrived, King David ruled, and Jesus walked. I was compelled more than ever to join the missions and help spread to Word of God so that people may know what happened in the Land of Israel and find Jesus Christ.
